Kevin Buckley has over a decade of experience assisting non-profit disease-specific organizations, state BIO members, and other life sciences firms achieve their public policy goals. He has assisted with drafting, coordinating, and promoting bills and laws that relate to stem cell research, genetic nondiscrimination, tobacco fund reinvestment in life sciences, economic development related to the biotechnology industry, enterprise zone creation, and innovative tax credits for life sciences funding. Kevin served as an Authorized Representative for a major U.S. presidential campaign and also as an Investment Manager for Missouri state funds targeting start-up ventures.
Kevin helps his clients coordinate their public policy efforts by helping them steer the course of life sciences legislation. As Legislative Counsel to the Missouri Biotechnology Association, he developed strategic plans for the life science community’s specific legislative goals, consulted with officials in Congress and state legislatures, drafted and analyzed proposed legislation, wrote testimony for legislative appearances, and monitored, analyzed and reported ongoing legislative developments.
